This instrument, as shown, comes with a one piece spruce-top with hand carved rosette and a bowl-back, consisting of fifteen single pieces of choice maple, interspersed with a highly decorative adornment of blackened maple inlays. Ebony trims embrace the top while the neck is clear cedar, veneered with a thin layer of maple bordered by black inlays at the joints. The peghead, hand carved and done in the grillage manner, consists of a triple-layered maple laminate, combining a minimum of weight with a maximum of static firmness.The material used for the fretboard is Brazilian rosewood, with trimmings of adjoining layers of ebony and white maple, the frets are bone, while saddle and pegs are rosewood. The instrument has a 322 mm scale which accommodates
a modern tuning of 440 Hz.
