Calssical Guitar CL4

THE STATE OF ART  CL 4.

Twenty-five years of experience in building stringed instruments, the choicest of materials, and the daring to reinterpret the classical idea are the background that lies behind this extraordinary expression in sound and design. Sound and workmanship that strive for an absolute in perfection will not suffice to meet the mark of excellence unless an instrument has an individual character. The head design, the carved bridge endings, the flowing curl adding a 20th fret to the fingerboard are not just optical details but serve a definite function. In its body proportions and construction the CL 4 betrays the tradition of Andalusian guitar making. Tones with a deep foundation and a sparkling brilliance that project to fill a concert hall are the consequence, yet the ideal sound of this guitar is always marked by lightness and charm. There are some special features in the construction that may delight the connoisseur, such as the individual little blocks of wood attaching the top to the sides (which we came to prefer to a one-piece construction) or the back bindings, measuring 5.5 mm each, that are responsible for the static balance to facilitate the resonance of a carefully arched top and Brazilian rosewood bottom. French polish is standard, as is our use of almost weightless and highly flexible glue made from animal hide.
